National coach Tommie Hartogs has announced his extended pre tournament selection for the championships in Tilburg. He named three goaltenders, nine defenders and eighteen forwards.
Not too many suprises in the line-up. Only newcomer is forward Lars van Sloun, one of two players selected from Geleen. Reigning national champion The Hague has six players in the team as many as record champion Tilburg Trappers. Eindhoven has five players named, while five players are from abroad. They include net minder Phil Groeneveld and Flint General Jamie Schaafsma and the three Dutch kids that play NCAA Division I hockey in the USA.
The team will play five warm-up games. Two against Romania, two against Great-Britain and one against France.
