Austria won their fourth game of this tournament. In Tilburg, Austria beat hosts the Netherlands 4-1. Tomorrow Austria will play the big match against Ukraine to decide the winner of this tournament.
Holland played a fine match against Austria. Netherlands made Austria fight for the victory, especially in the first period. Still the Austrians came out strong and scored after thirty seconds. Canadian Darcy Werenka opened the score with his second goal of the tournament.
Holland tied the game after six minutes. Levi Houkes did the hard work and gave the assist so Marcel Bruinsma could score his first goal for Holland. Austria regained the lead after fifteen minutes. Manuel Latusa took advantage of sloppy defense from the Netherlands.

After the break Austria quickly sealed the deal. Austria got a penalty shot which was easily converted by leading scorer Thomas Koch. One minute later Johannes Reichel made it 4-1 from an impossible angle. After the fourth goal, Austria took it easy with the clash against Ukraine waiting tomorrow.

Bill Gilligan was pleased after the game: ‘We started off pretty well. In the first and third periode we often showed our quality. Still it was a very even game in the first periode. Especially in the third period we took over control. If we want to beat Ukraine tomorrow, we will have to play better then we have did during this week. Ukraine is a difficult opponent. They are so talented offensively, that's why they scored so many goals this tournament. We have to play disciplined to beat them.'
