The IIHF has approved the schedule for the 2010 IIHF World Championship Division I in Tilburg. The tournament starts on April 19 with the match between Lithuania and Ukraine and ends on the evening of April 25 when Austria and Ukraine battle it out.
That has been announced by the organizing committee. The schedule contains a number of changes compared to the concept that was proposed earlier. There are five days of competition, two rest days and three games per day. The early match starts at one thirty, followed by the afternoon game at five o’ clock. The evening match starts at 20.30 hours.
Hosts Netherlands play four of the evening games, Ukraine and Austria have each been allocated two evening matches. The days off are Wednesday and Friday.
