Dear international ice hockey family,
The Ice Hockey Association of the Netherlands considers it a great honour to
host one of the groups of the 2010 IIHF Word Championship Division I in
April 2010.
The Netherlands is an experienced organizer of international ice hockey events. Eight IIHF senior level World Championships have been held in this country, the most recent being a Division I, Group B in 2005.
The Tilburg Ice Hockey Club is also an experienced organizer of international ice hockey events. Every year since 1977, Tilburg has organized a major (U16) tournament, which is regarded internationally to be of a high standard; this is evident from the impressive range of participants attracted every year to this international tournament.
I am very proud that the Muncipality of Tilburg will host an Ice Hockey World Championship tournament and dos so in an enthusiastic manner. The Muncipality of Tilburg is very committed to ensuring that all aspects of this event are well facilitated.
I am equally proud of the volunteers who repeatedly enable these types of events to be organized. We will assist them in doing everything possible to ensure that the needs of the participating countries and officals are met.
